Overview:
The Str-1X Striker is the Tie Figher of light Mechs. It was
developed by Dorran Industries for the Luna Constortium to be a light
weight scout and skirmish line mech for its Terra Corp forces. Its
main purpose was to be a cheap, technologically advanced mech.
Capabilities:
The Striker isnt designed for long range combat. It is designed
to lay down fire at close range and provide close-in support for
advancing infantry. This is why it mounts exclusively energy
weapons, allowing it to stay in the field longer.
The ER Medium lasers are the longest range weapons mounted on the
mech. It provides a stand-off weapon to engage enemies at long
ranges. The small pulse and heavy lasers provide bulk of the
Striker's fire power. When alternated with the Medium lasers, can
lay down a heavy amount of damage to any target that strays into
range.
Its biggest asset is its speed. Its speed allows it to close
quickly to engage enemy units.
Deployment:
The only Strikers are currently deployed in the 1st Battalion of
the 1st Regiment of the Terran Corp. The mechs are deployed in 6
unit demi-companies, often paired with the Luna Consortium's few
varieties of fire-support mechs.
Battle History:
In the battle of New Paris in 2257, the Terran Corps Striker
Mechs helped in a delaying action that allowed most of the Terran
Corp units to board dropships after a European Union counterattack
broke through the front-lines. Most of the Strikers fell in battle,
but when the Terran Corps returned 5 years later, they were surprised
to find a number of Strikers working with the guerilla forces.
Known Variants:
There is a variant that strips off one of the small lasers and
adds a light active probe. There are very few of these units due to
the increased cost of the light active probe.

um this mech cant be built by Inner Sphere companiesd  and if you want it to be a clan "tie fighter" you might want to remove the expensive and hard to manufacture XL engine (esp since no other mechs use it  )

At 20 tons and using Clan technology, you can also get a Fire Moth...
There is already a Striker. It's an assualt 'Mech used first by the SLDF and now by the CCAF.
Other than that...why the Small Pulse Plasers? One Medium Pulse is better in any case...
