Overview: First designed by Blue Nose Clipperships in 2600 to supplement the aging Lola I class destroyer but the contract was rejected in favor for Baron class. In 2620 The SLDF Admiralty tired of the poor performance of the Baron began looking for a new destroyer, The Blue Nose were given a limited contract to produce the Lola 2 for the Star League. The first vessel laid down was the Ambermarle, in 2621 work began on her keel and she was launched in March 2622(due to minor design problems and revisions by the SLDF Admiralty). Please with the new warship the Star League ordered 149 more. The Warship construction program was soon launching three a year. At first the Lola 2 was a problem free vessel but soon minor problems began popping up. problems like the Grav deck suddenly shorting out, power fluctuations, the Main drives cutting out after a few minutes. Ships Captains complaints were soon piling up on the SLDF Admiralty collective desks and something had to be done, so several vessels were pulled from duty for a system check and upgrade. The problems were soon traced to poorly designed electrical systems that powered the warship. Only 14 vessels were constructed and all other were halted to fix this problem, the engineers soon fixed the problem on the vessels underconstruction but the 14 vessels built would be stripped of Star League tech and sold to Member states without the knowledge of the problems.
Capabilities Designed to be a flotilla leader of corvettes and frigates the Lola 2 was to be a command vessel for the flotilla. The Lola 2 was often used to hunt down pirates and rogue vessels. Also the Lola 2 was used as a escort screen for the Battleships and Battlecuisers.
Deployment The 14 Lola 2's that were not fixed were sold to various Houses the rest were incorporated into the Star League fleet and served well until 2662 when the advanced Lola 3 was introduced. many of the Lola 2's and Lola 1's were used as test beds for the Casper SDS system adn were still active during the Amaris Crisis. of the 250 Caspers at Terra, 25 were Lola 2's. all converted Lola's were lost. 50 Lola 2's were still in operation with the Star League at the start of the conflict many would be lost fighting their sister ships that were SDS's. 4 vessels survived the horrific conflict(SLS Adventure, SLS Challenger, SLS Dante, SLS Survivor), these vessels left with Kerensky and were mothballed after the landings at the Pentagon worlds. Two of them would be lost during the Pentagon Civil War while the other two were lost with the other cache fleets. Recently Clan Blood Spirit found the two missing warships(SLS Challenger, SLS Dante) and are looking to restore them. Clan Wolf in Exile reported finding one Lola 2 in a raid into the Jade Falcon OZ, sending over a boarding party they were able to salvage the vessel and bring it back to Morges.
=Notable Vessels= SLS Ambermarle SLS Adventure SLS Challenger SLS Dante SLS Survivor SLS Holiday

Excellent capture of the feel of Star League warships - thinly armored, no secondary weapons.
Question about the fluff: how do gravdecks short out? The motors that spin and brake them?

i figured that the power systems of the Grave deck was faulty and would overload when rotated.

Yup, I could see that, too. Getting so many tons spun up to speed could burnout an understrength or improperly geared motor.
