I use this term to denote the amount of weight a design has left to use after subtracting the following:
Internal Structure
Engine Weight
Cockpit Weight
Gyro Weight
Not In this Version
Currently this version does not include table variants with the following equipment:
1. Large Fusion Engines (...and the variants there upon)
2. Compact Engines
3. ICE Engines
4. Special Gyros (only the standard ones in here)
5. Special Cockpits (if you want a torso mounted, figure it out your self)
6. Reinforced Structure (for composite simply use the endo steel sections)

...These are being copy and pasted from one of my countless text files still too unpolished to post elsewhere. It also has uncomplete tables comparing the maximum speed a certain tonnage chasis can go, and how much space remains.
Note don't forget those other little things that affect chasis weight choice, especially jump jet weight!
I find that 'pinpoint' accuracy during a bombing run increases proportionally with the amount of munitions used.

Yeah, I got a notebook with charts along these lines. I did one including maximum armor as well (standard and ferro-fibrous). I had WAY to much free time.
