Tilobite TRL-3BT The Trilobite was the among the few critical failures of General Mechanics Incorporated. The firm well known across the inner sphere for the highly successful Wasp scout mech began designing the Trilobite in 2475 as the next generation of light mech. Initially the firm hoped to use modern techniques of mixed range weapondry (such as the concepts later revived by the successful Vindicator), advanced armor, and a lack of jump jets to drastically increase the Tilobite's battle performance compared to its older cousin. Unfortunately while some of these concepts proved very successful the Trilobite worried investors with its unusually slow movement for such a small mech. Also the mech's lack of jump jets, a decision made to help the Trilobite manage its heat, has been continually pointed out as lacking any foresight. The seemingly final nail in the Trilobite's development came at its initial testing which was held at a conveniently timed design bid for a new scout mech in 2479, where it was soundly troused by Earthwerk's new Stinger. Recently it is rumored that General Mechanics is reissuing a new version of the Trilobite with the slogan: "An old design for a new universe!" The reasoning being that the original Trilobite was more a casaulty of the era when light mechs could only be viewed as scout mechs, and now in the highly inventive era of competition in the inner sphere the mech could make a name for itself as being the cheapest design on the market.

I find that 'pinpoint' accuracy during a bombing run increases proportionally with the amount of munitions used.
