First, some interesting fluff...
On the planet Ferona in the Prehiphery, Clan mechs started to pour into the planet. After a months worth of Gurilla fighting, the Clans won and left. the scrap heap of mechs was very large and rebles had an idea to take the clans on, Challange them to a one on one duel. one mecha piece. So the Rebels started to sneak parts from the various scrap heaps and using parts from their own mech, created one giant mech. The mech, although clumsy and slow, pondered from across the planet to issue the batchall. after much deliberation as to weither to accept or simply hunt down the bandit filth, the commander finnaly accepted. The commander showed up and waited for over an hour at the chosen battlefield when his sismic sensors suddenly jumped. The signal grew larger until even a 100 ton mech should have been in sight. then the radar picked up a signal that seemed too large to be a battlemech. The giant pulled itself over a hill about a kilometer away and came into view. The warrior siezed up at the sheer size of the mech. half and again the hight of his own mech, the mech seemed to be a hodgepodge of various parts, but soon he found out how deadly it was as 4 gauss rifles and some low calibour autocannons reduced his mech to scrap.

105-200 ton mechs. This is the preliminary work I scribbled out at school. critiques are welcome

Engines:
There are 2 engines mounted on a battlemch this size to accomodate the imense power needs.

Engine Rating (1 engine) = (2*Walk MP)*Tonnage
This is the rating for one engine and the second one must be the same rating. The gyro weighs 1/100 of the combined engine ratings. Each engine can take 3 crtis as normal with the usual heat. if one engine is destroyed, the second one may operate the mech but at 1/2 MP and at +2 to hit. Heat Sinks are distributed normaly for both engines separatly.

A Super Heavy mech has no running MP and cannot be made jump capable.

A Super heavy mech has internal structure points as follows,
Tonnage*2 pts spread out as follows,
Head- 5%
CT- 23%
R/L T- 13% (each)
R/L L- 13% ( "" )
R/L A- 10% ( "" )

Standard Armour rules apply. (2*IS pts = max armour value)

Misc Rules:
Pilots of a Super Heavy Mech have a +2 to piloting skill rolls because of the enormous size and clumsyness.

Attackers have a -2 to hit a super heavy mech.

half the penalty for actuator hits.

Super Heavy mechs must only make a piloting skill roll if more than 50 damage is delt to it in one turn.

A Super Heavy Mech is considered to stand 3 levels high and spends only 1 MP moveing up or down 1 level, moving through light woods and depth 1 water. it costs, 2 MP to move through heavy woods and to proceed up 2 levels of elevation or move through depth 2 water. rough terrain isn't a consideration. The mech always gets stuck in Swamp hexes.

I've got some super heavy mech rules floating around the net, including rec.games.mecha, if you're interested. They cover several scales.

Very intressting.. I'll have to digest these for awhile then maybe I'll see what I can come up with.

I find that 'pinpoint' accuracy during a bombing run increases proportionally with the amount of munitions used.
