Overview:
the HSR 209-X was placed in production in the mid of the 2nd SWs
by the Fed Suns, however it lacked all the lost tech of the 200-D,
it's speed was also droped massivly while it's mass was upped by 5
tons while it had just over 50% more fire power and it's armor was
also added to making thicker skined unit able to take more hits then ever befor while giving as good as it got.
With many field testing behind this unit it has been cleared for
combat readiness and a full company was sent to many front lines with in four months where they will most likly be placed in Scout units or might even be placed in teams of Locust as well.
though it's body hasn't changed and would trick any Battle
computer as that was what it was built to do.
And to help with this it had it's Med Lasers heavly shielded in thick armored slid open Doors that hide it's Med Lasers that are mounted in the arms.
though there have been a few problems with the Slide Doores on
the arms and the Lg Laser had been known to over heat and a slite
bump to the arms have been known to also cause problems with the Lasers as it would knock the Lasers out of foces and some thing that
really ticks off the techs working on this unit as they have to spend
extra time to fix it and to prevent it from happing again,
Capabilities:
the Role of scout is no differnt and it can also act as a raider.
Deployment:
Seen through out many of the Fed Sun forces.
Battle History:
in the fight against the Combine on a border world a Lance of
Hussar IIs, a Lance of Mixed light weight lights and a lance of
Heavys was all that stood against the Combine forces.
a re-inforced Company of Medium and heavys and a lance of Light
mechs mostly slower units.
though when the Hussar took a PPC hit to the Left and Right Legs
a hit that would have taken any other Hussar down this one returned fire and shocked many of the Combine warriors.
even more so a Combine warrior piloting a Hunchback.
when it had hit a Hussar in the Center Torso again that would have cored it kept on going .
also the Fact that they also had two extra weapons also shocked
the enemy.
it was in fact the shock of these units abilty to take hits that
would have disabled or distoryed their smaller brothers that carried the day as the commander had used this to his advantage and their speed to get be hind the Heavys and tear at the light armor in the back with their weapons.
Known Variants:
HSR 209-C:
it's Lg Laser is replaced with two LRM 5s and a ton
of ammo that is placed in the Left Torso
While it's Meds are kept.
HSR 209-F:
it's Lg is kept while one of it's Meds are removed
for a MG and half a ton of ammo.
HSR 209-M
The Lg Laser and Med Lasers are replaced with a single
PPC placed in the Right Torso for a deadly long range punch.

Hey that´s a nice Mech. Especially the C and M Variants.
I like that. It will take out and on any light Mech with ease. (Is there a version with JJs? That could be a weakness against other jumpers without them)
