A PPC, 10/15 movement, and a low price tag: good stuff.

Nice. I like the PPC in Vehicles. Made some of them on my own.

For example a 50t hover with 2 PPCs in a Turret an a speed of 7/11. (I know, yours is more flexible)

I've yet to check out the original unit in this thread via a vehicle program but without even running yours through I know it is in violation of the construction rules.

a hovercraft in battletech (in particular fusion-powered 50 tonners) cannot travel 7/11 as a base design. The engine MUST weigh at least 20% of the unit's overall tonnage, so the engine must be 10 ton or greater. That being said, it costs you 7tons (plus turret mass) for one PPC and 17 tons (plus turret mass) for the second PPC. Quite a waste for a hovercraft really.

I used the Vehicle factory.

And there is a Hover- Tank (same name) with a movement of 6/9
So wher does this rule come from?
The Tank is from the Record sheets: vehicles.

One of many of FASA's 'lets ignore our own rules', kinda like 100% of the writers for their fiction really.

You will notice none of those stuffed up units exist in their previous forms in the 3025/26, 3050, 3055/58 etc sheetbooks. The Drillson I believe was one of those 6/9 stuffups and is now a fusion tank that travels 9/14.

Yes. The Drillson had only 6/9

But I think I´ll keep even those machines, which don´t fit for your reaons and rules. Okay?

it´s not really a problem.

It has nothing to do with 'my reasons' the units are illegal. Unfortunate but true. Anyway I think you will find the fusion engined Drillson a far superior unit to the ICE version which is illegal anyway.

Hovercraft minimum engine weights have been around for at least a decade (CityTech 2nd is the earliest in my personal collection with vehicle rules). Anyone care to go further back?
