Giant Robot Genre Games for Android Market – Part Three

Well just about the same time I finished my second article on Android Robot games, I began to find a few more games that I felt should also be reviewed here. There are others out there that are just too terrible to comment on or fall a bit too far into the “cute robot” category.

Mantera: The Sacred Path

Mantera: The Sacred Path by 99 Works and Flare Studios. This game looks to have some strong potential. The robot designs are very solid and slick. I also love the transforming motorcycle powered armor, which I haven’t seen since Genesis Climber Mospeada (also known as ‘Cyclones’ from Robotech). Mantera is a 2D sidescroller that is inexplicably massive by mobile standards: 160 megabytes. Continue reading

Giant Robot Genre Games for Android Market – Part Two

I can hope all I want, but to clean up a dirty expression, wishes will fill the other hand long after I wash off the first one.

However, being a paragon of 3rd party and amateur game and app development enterprise, the Android Market has plenty of other Mecha-themed games, even if sadly none have anything to do with BattleTech. Yet. Today I will be reviewing five games for the Android OS that might help to scratch your 31st century combat itch.
