Dark Age[edit]
The Twelfth Rangers Cluster was a part of Kappa Galaxy in 3145. As one of the new clusters raised in the Dark Age, the unit was assigned to defend Icar in 3145.[1]
ilClan Era[edit]
In November of 3150, due to concerns of Oberon Confederation forces operating within the borders of the Horses aligned Republic of the Barrens, reconnaissance raids were authorized into the region. The Galaxy Commanders of Kappa and Omega challenge each other to a Circle of Equals. As a result, the Twelfth Rangers were deployed to Star's End alongside the Angarag Naval Star.[2]. There they encountered bandits who were mining asteroids in the system. The Twelfth were unfamiliar with micro-gravity operations which allowed for the Bandits to escape and resulted in the loss of almost a binary of Ranger mechs in their failed pursuit of them[3].
In December, the Twelfth were ordered onwards to Crellacor, where they found Oberonian forces escorting Saturn-class harvesters as they stripped the planets greenbelt. The Twelfth were able to easily destroy the escorts and capture the harvesters, but other Oberonian forces bivouacked at Fort Rowe managed to reach their DropShips and escape the world before the Rangers could catch them.[3]
