The 136th Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
The 136th was formed by personnel from Mirach and Alrescha, both worlds heavily influenced by settlers from Terra's old Soviet bloc. The unit's nickname comes from the only three-way naval engagement of the Second Soviet Civil War.[1]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Breed,[2] assigned as a part of XVI Corps, Second Army to District 1 of the Free Worlds League Military Region and then transferred to District 3 in 2765, a result of the New Vandenberg Uprising.[3]
The 136th would take part in Hegemony Campaign, but did not survive the war to liberate the Terran Hegemony.[3]

Tactics[edit]
The Mechanized Infantry divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.[4]
At least one battalion of infantry in each of its regiments was trained in SCUBA operations.[1]
Composition History[edit]
The Division comprised two brigades of mechanized infantry and a single BattleMech brigade. Also attached was a ground aero wing.[4]
