Overview[edit]
The 138th BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
The Division was highly skilled in tactical defense. They would use their mechanized infantry to scout out the terrain of the world where they were assigned, and then set up on the best defensive terrain possible. Their opponents were forced to face the Stonewall Jackson Division on ground chosen by the SLDF unit. To maximize their capability, the 1383rd Brigade would frequently employ hit-and-run attacks on enemy forces.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXI Corps, First Army, to the Terran Military Region to garrison Dieron[2], and then transferred to District 1 of the Free Worlds League Military Region by 2765, to take part in the New Vandenberg Uprising.[3] The 138th was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[3]
