History[edit]

Succession Wars[edit]

In 3025 the unit was stationed on Thessalonika.[3]

During the Fourth Succession War the Thirteenth Rasalhague Regulars faced the Eighth and Twelfth Donegal Guards and the Tyr Regiment on Stanzach[4] in 3028.[1] They successfully repelled the Eighth Donegal's attempt to take a critical bridge, but for some reason they were ordered off-world by the DCMS.[5] Enraged by the order to retreat, Sho-sho Fjolek took the Thirteenth to Tamar, assaulting the world to regain his unit's honor. The attack was unexpected and the Thirteenth was able to inflict serious damage on the world, but the arrival of the Grave Walkers mercenary regiments stopped the assault. The Grave Walker units offered the Thirteenth a chance to surrender, but the Combine unit fought almost to the last man, inflicting heavy casualties on the defenders, but being destroyed.[1][6]

The Thirteenth was rebuilt in 3032,[1] though managing to achieve veteran status by 3034. Like many regiments of the Rasalhague Regulars, they invaded the Free Rasalhague Republic following the Republic's independence and were declared Ronin. Their invasion route took them from their base on Thessalonika to Spittal, Vipaava, New Oslo, New Bergen, and finally Unzmarkt where they were destroyed in September by the First Genyosha. Ten MechWarriors committed seppuku on Vipaava and their ‘Mechs remained undiscovered until Rasalhague resistance located them to use against Clan Ghost Bear occupying forces.[7][8]
