The Fourteenth Royal CAAN Marine Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
The unit's first commander was General Damian Truscott, who was the great-grandfather of Absalom Truscott.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LI Corps, Eleventh Army, to District 1 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region and then transferred to District 2 by 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising.[3] The Fourteenth was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign,[3] specifically during the initial landings on Terra.[1]

Tactics[edit]
The Fourteenth CAAN excelled at surface and beach attacks but dominated under water. To that end, their BattleMechs were equipped with almost all energy-based weapons, with a few having missile racks replaced with torpedo launchers.[2]
Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF CAAN regiment, it was composed of BattleMechs, tanks, hovercraft, fighters, naval vessels, and marines.[4]
