The Sixteenth Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
Circa 2744, the SLDF shifted the Sixteenth from a Royal unit to a standard one after its performance had dropped and was no longer representative of its storied history.[1]
At times, the Sixteenth had combined with the Fifty-ninth Royal Light Horse Regiment and Sixty-ninth Hussar Regiment to form an ad hoc brigade.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of LI Corps, Eleventh Army, to District 1 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region and then transferred to District 2 in 2765 as part of the redeployment effort to fight the Periphery Uprising. The Sixteenth was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the Sixteenth would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
