The homeworld of the 1st Conroe Training Battalion is Tancredi IV.

History[edit]

Formation[edit]

The First Conroe Training Battalion was the first regional training battalion created by Hanse Davion. The graduates quickly proved the utility of the concept, going on to fill in gaps in more seasoned units in the AFFS. Most of the Conroe Training Battalion recruits come from the Bryceland PDZ, so they have a serious hatred of the Draconis Combine.[1]

Civil War[edit]

They faced Allied forces and were disarmed but later returned to service.[2]

Jihad[edit]

In 3078 the Academy Appropriations War Powers Act deactivated all the training battalion and public academy cadre units and transferred their men and machines to front-line forces. Their future is unclear.[3]

Dark Age[edit]

The First Conroe Training Battalion was reactivated in 3136 by Caleb Davion.[4] The unit was forced to retreat during the Draconis Combine's advance into the Federated Suns. The unit commandeered a civilian DropShip and lifted off Cimeron just ahead of the DCMS. They then jumped to Colia and Fallon II. Finally they made it to Parma where they were ordered to hold in place.[5] They were still on Parma in late 3145.[6]
