Throughout the unit's history, the formerly mercenary War Griffins formed an independent cadre within the 1st Oberon Guards.
The First Oberon Guards were destroyed attempting to defend Oberon VI from invasion by the 11th Wolf Guards on September 28th 3049.[1]
