The 202nd BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Redondo,[1] assigned as a part of the LXII Corps, Fourth Army to District 3 of the Federated Suns Military Region.[2]
The 202nd was moved to the Taurian Concordat in 2765 and was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising due to the inexperience and timidness of its officers. Then-Colonel Jack Lucas of the 253rd Battle Regiment was promoted to brigade commander in the field and led the retreat of the division's survivors that numbered only ten battalions. Lucas was later promoted to command the 255th Royal Mechanized Infantry Division, though it is not recorded if the remnants of the 202nd joined him.[2][3][4]

Composition[edit]
As an SLDF BattleMech division, the 202nd would have been composed of two brigades of 'Mech regiments and one brigade of mechanized infantry regiments.[6]
