The 216th Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as a part of XLVI Corps, Nineteenth Army to the Periphery Military Region.[1] The 216th was part of XLVI Corps' fire brigade along with the 218th Royal Light Horse and 242nd Hussar Regiments. Together they were the first to respond to developing crises or to chase down bandits.[2]
The 216th was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 as part of the redeployment effort to fight the Periphery Uprising. The unit was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the 216th would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
