The 218th Royal Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.

History[edit]

In 2764, the unit was assigned as a part of XLVI Corps, Nineteenth Army to the Periphery Military Region.[1] The 218th was part of XLVI Corps' fire brigade along with the 216th Light Horse and 242nd Hussar Regiments. Together they were the first to respond to developing crises or to chase down bandits.[2]

The 218th was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[1]

Composition History[edit]

As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the 218th would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
