The Twenty-second Mechanized Assault Cluster was a combined arms military formation of Clan Hell's Horses.

In 3059 and 3067 the Twenty-second was stationed on Niles.[1][2]
During the Wars of Reaving the Twenty-second took part in an assault on Clan Wolf's holdings on Tranquil in late 3068. After this they were redeployed to Niles in January 3069 in response to a Fire Mandrill attack there.[3] By September 3071 the Cluster had moved to Steelton in the Inner Sphere, where they took part in defending the world from an Ice Hellion invasion before withdrawing after two weeks of fighting.[4]
By 3085 the Twenty-second was posted to Seiduts and was at sixty percent of its authorized strength.[5]
In 3145 the Twenty-second had been transferred to New Caledonia and was at three-quarters of its authorized strength.[6]
In 3150, Khan Gottfried Amirault dispatched the Twenty-second to liberate the Republic of the Barrens capital world Gustrell, which had been conquered by the Oberon Confederation three years earlier. The Twenty-second was forced to clear the ruined city block by block, but managed to break the Confederation's line. Star Colonel Danielle Cobb dueled and very nearly suffered defeat at the hands of Abdoun Ricol, but was separated from him by a collapsing building before their fight could conclude.[7]
