The 253rd Battle Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2765, the 253rd was attached to the 202nd BattleMech Division with the LXII Corps, Fourth Army. During the Periphery Uprising, the unit was one of hundreds of regiments deployed to suppress the uprising.[1] The Fourth Army was deployed to the Taurian Concordat,[2] where the inexperience and timidness of its officers resulted in the 202nd being chewed up in the fighting. Colonel Jack Lucas was appointed brigade commander of the ten surviving battalions—roughly one-third of the division's strength—before being promoted to command another unit in the Fourth Army.[1] The 202nd BattleMech Division was effectively destroyed,[3] though it is unknown if the 253rd Battle also perished or was reassigned to another division.
