Overview[edit]
The 255th Royal BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XLIII Corps, Seventeenth Army, to the Periphery Military Region.[1] The 255th was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[1]

Tactics[edit]
The Division had a reputation for scorched-earth tactics and hard war. In 2763 their commanding general had publicly stated that she had "no qualms about torching a few cities or stomping a few schools if that's what it takes to keep the territorial states in line".[2]
Composition[edit]
As an SLDF BattleMech division the 255th would have been formed from two Brigades of BattleMech regiments and a brigade of Mechanized Infantry regiments.[3]
