History[edit]

The Second Kell Hounds Regiment was formed from a collection of smaller mercenary units. Each of these smaller units had been led by a former member of the Kell Hounds, and when Morgan Kell took command in 3028 these former Hounds returned. By using these smaller units and training for a year, the Second rapidly developed into an elite command.[citation needed]

3050 found the Second Kell Hounds assigned to garrison Ambergrist.[2]

The Second participated in the Battle of Luthien, helping to drive off the Clan forces. They also participated in Operation Bulldog, taking Yamarovka.

In 3067 they were based on Arc-Royal.[3]

Tactics[edit]

The regiment prefers to fight at night. Every battalion has a specialized Third company.[4]

The Wolfhounds Third Company can operate for a long time without support.

The Junkyard Dogs Third Company can fight under environmental conditions where others will not fight.
