Overview[edit]
The Fifty-fifth Royal Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. As a Royal unit, its personnel were recruited exclusively from worlds within the Terran Hegemony.[1]
History[edit]
The Fifty-Fifth was an independent regiment within LXII Corps, Fourth Army, and a member of the 4th RCT. In 2764 the Fifty-Fifth was assigned to District 3 of the Federated Suns Military Region; in 2765 the Fifty-Fifth was deployed into the Periphery Military Region along with the rest of LXII Corps following the New Vandenberg Uprising and the subsequent Periphery-wide uprising.[1]
After surviving both the Periphery Uprising and the Hegemony Campaign the regiment chose to follow General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[1]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment the Fifty-Fifth would have been composed of light to medium vehicles backed up by at least two Recon companies composed of 'Mechs designed for information gathering in addition to any regular 'Mechs within the regiment.[2]
