The 564th Hussar Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
By 2724,[1] the 564th Hussars were stationed on Paris in the Draconis Combine.[2] A graduate of the Gunslinger Program, MechWarrior Aleksandr Kerensky was assigned to the unit and won one of the four duels he fought as part of the First Hidden War.[1][2]
As part of the 160th BattleMech Division, the 564th took part in Operation SMOTHER against Combine forces on Royal in 2729. All its commanding officers were killed in a DropShip collision, and now-Captain Kerensky assumed command of the regiment. On the verge of being split apart and destroyed, the Hussars regrouped and held off a Sword of Light regiment until reinforced. This action resulted in Kerensky being promoted to colonel and being awarded the Medal of Valor.[1][2]
