The Sixty-second Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Corbeanca,[2] assigned as part of XXXIV Corps, Ninth Army to District 2 of the Free Worlds League Military Region but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 in response to the Periphery Uprising. The Sixty-second was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[3]

Tactics[edit]
The Mechanized Infantry divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.[4]
Composition History[edit]
The Division comprised two brigades of mechanized infantry and a single BattleMech brigade. Also attached was a ground aero wing.[4]
