The Sixty-eighth Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as part of XLIII Corps, Seventeenth Army to the Magistracy of Canopus area of the Periphery Military Region. Although XLIII Corps took heavy casualties during the Periphery Uprising in 2765, the Sixty-eighth survived to fight in the Hegemony Campaign.[2]
The Sixty-eighth made it through the Hegemony Campaign and the bulk of the division followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus, although some elements of the division chose to remain in the Inner Sphere and joined the Lyran Commonwealth.[2] The Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces recruited enough SLDF personnel from the remains of the Sixty-eighth to form a new regiment, which was designated as the Eleventh Hesperus Guards.[3]

As an SLDF Infantry division, the Sixty-eighth would have been formed from two brigades of grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[4]
