The Seventh Jump Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Hassi R'mel,[3] assigned as part of XL Corps, Fifteenth Army District 2 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[4] The Seventh guarded the Hassi R'mel system's recharge stations and inspected all traffic that entered the system through non-standard jump points.[2]
The Seventh was redeployed to the Periphery in 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising. The division took heavy losses during the Hegemony Campaign and would be disbanded, but elements went on to join the Capellan Confederation and the Draconis Combine.[4]
The Capellan Confederation Armed Forces recruited two battalions of assorted personnel from the Seventh in 2782 and formed the Ninth Tikonov Lancers the following year after combining them with a battalion of similar recruits from the 147th Mechanized Infantry Division; further, the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery also recruited two battalions of personnel from the remnants of the Seventh, using them to reactivate the Ninth Galedon Regulars in 2784.[1]
