The Ninetieth Royal Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
Prior to the formation of the Star League, the Ninetieth was mustered on Terra along with the Seventy-sixth Royal Dragoon Regiment as a paired planetary assault force.[1]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Mirach, assigned as a part of IX Corps, Second Army to District 1 of the Federated Suns Military Region.[2] Due to their training in low gravity combat, SLDF Quartermaster Command used the Ninetieth as escorts for large munitions shipments originating from asteroid and orbital manufacturing facilities. They were often the first to respond to pirate attacks on transports and the first called on to lead attacks on space-based facilities.[1]
The Ninetieth was transferred to District 2 of the FSMR during the New Vandenberg Uprising in 2765. The unit survived the Hegemony Campaign and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[2]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the Ninetieth would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[3]
