Alan Rend was an operative in the Word of Blake's Light of Mankind covert operations force.[1]
History[edit]
Rend was a native of Athens on Terra, assigned as the second-in-command of a four-person Light of Mankind strike team during a multipronged assault on a Stone's Coalition base located on an Athenian spaceport in August 3078. Due to the flawed decisions of his commanding officer, Owl, Rend attempted to prevent the destruction of the city via the destruction of the underground fuel network. Although his efforts failed and a majority of the city—as well as Mar's Hill and the Parthenon—were destroyed, he alone survived and was (incorrectly) credited with unswerving loyalty by Rom's Adept Salis.[1]
