Major General Alexandra Duford was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 161st Mechanized Infantry Division as of 2764.[1]

Star League Intelligence Command believed Duford's husband, who died in a VTOL crash during 2764, was deliberately assassinated by agents of the Taurian Concordat. The purpose of this killing was to make Duford vulnerable to a honeypot trap, with a man identified by SLIC as a Taurian spy with whom she subsequently had a relationship with, and who they suspected had received classified information from Duford.
In light of these suspicions, SLIC secretly fed false information to Duford, in the hope of it being passed on to the Taurians would confirm she was compromised.[1]
