War of 3039[edit]
Ancha came under attack during the first wave of the War of 3039. On 28 April, DeMaestri's Sluggers of the Fighting Urukhai engaged the militia and First Shin Legion fifty kilometers west of the planetary capital before the Sixth FedCom RCT dropped directly onto the city itself. When the Sixth FedCom hit Sho-sho Richard Fujimoto's troops in the rear flank as the Sluggers continued to assault their front, the militia commander ordered his infantry and armor to sacrifice themselves so the BattleMechs of the Shin Legion could escape. Fujimoto's death during this charge lead to the collapse of the Ancha Militia's morale and by 29 April, only the Shin Legion's ongoing guerrilla efforts prevented the invaders from obtaining complete control of the planet.[1]
