Clerk-Typist[2]

Leftenant Andy Bick was the commander of Bick's Lance, Second Company, First Battalion of the Tenth Skye Rangers as of 3058.[1]

History[edit]

Before entering MechWarrior training, Bick had experience as a clerk-typist. This role included sufficient experience with computers, enabling him to be able to hack into secure systems.[2]

As of 3058, Bick's nose and prominent adam's apple were reputed to be the skinny red haired young man's most noticeable features.[2][3]

Battle of Coventry[edit]

Bick fought in the Battle of Coventry against Clan Jade Falcon as part of the Coventry Expeditionary Force (CEF).[4]

He had received a field promotion to Corporal from Hauptmann Tony Wells shortly before January 3058 and the start of the invasion, due to the lack of officers in his unit, and his administrative experience.[2] Once his company came under the command of Hauptmann Caradoc Trevena in January 3058, he was ordered to hack into the local Lyran quartermaster's system, using his prior experience as a clerk-typist, in an attempt to redirect supplies to Trevena's company.

On 21 April 3058, now in command of his own lance and promoted to Leftenant, Bick helped fight a rear-guard action against Falcon forces, in an attempt to aid the retreat of the Waco Rangers and the Crazy Eights, who had suffered heavy casualties after being ambushed in the Dales Highlands on Coventry during an attempted flanking maneuver.[4] Bick had previously asked Hauptmann Trevena for their unit to advance to assist the Rangers and Crazy Eights, but was ordered to wait in a defensive position until the mercenaries retreated back towards them.[5]

Bick survived this battle, still being in his position in mid-June 3058.[6]

BattleMech[edit]

Andy Bick was known to pilot a BJ-2 Blackjack BattleMech.[1]
