The Aquamarines were a mercenary unit stationed on Fomalhaut in 3150.
Late March 3150 the Second and Third Battalions of the Second Dieron Regulars were assigned to Fomalhaut where they faced the Aquamarines. The mercs experience with coastal operations allowed them to destroy the Second's bases and outposts along the coastline and the fighting turned merciless between the two forces, until resistance was broken when the Aquamarines' commander was captured and publicly executed. This destroyed the defender's morale, and the mercenary unit disappeared into the civilian population.[1][2]
