At the Cost of Bootlaces was the 2023 Worldwide Event for BattleTech. The event was developed and run under the auspices of the Catalyst Demo Team. The scenarios depict a December 3151 battle over New Earth between the Capellan Confederation and Alaric Ward's new Star League.
The event was not subsequently formally published by CGL. However, it was eventually given an informal release in June 2024, across various official and unofficial BattleTech Discords.
Canonicity[edit]
Beyond the lack of formal publication, the PDF opens with a statement that the events within are not canonical and do not affect canon.
Scenarios[edit]
The file includes a scenario for classic BattleTech named "Here Little Cappie..." and an Alpha Strike scenario named "Regrets Will Not Save the Bridge."
