Augustus "The Thug" Foley was the commanding officer of the Third Company of the Longwood's Bluecoats mercenary group's Second Battalion as of 3059.[1]

Captain Foley, serving with Longwood's Bluecoats, was serving in the employ of the Taurian Concordat in 3059. Concurrently, he clashed repeatedly with his commanding officer Major Ivan Tchorgin over the tactics he used in combat and the way he led his men. Despite complaints from both above and below him, Foley's unit obeyed him completely in training exercises and delivered better results than the rest of the Bluecoats.[1] Between 3059 and 3067, Foley was killed in action while performing pirate-hunting operations. Not only was his demise a blow for the unit's tactical flexibility, the men under his command made it apparent that they refused to continue serving with the Bluecoats when they deserted from the unit and stole an Overlord-class DropShip in the process.[2]
