Bannock-Braigh Aerospace produced aerospace fighters and replacement parts for ComStar, and later the Word of Blake, on Terra.
Overview[edit]
Know for solely producing, and being the sole producer of, the centuries-old Ahab missile boat, BBA was, however, not the fighter's originator. Instead, the company obtained the design and production rights from Harvard Company, Inc. when it went out of business in the early 3000s. BBA then only produced a small number of new fighters and spare parts for ComStar. The company would not extend its production or maintenance services to any other power, leading to the eventual disrepair and disuse of most of the Inner Sphere's remaining Ahab fighters.
Following the Word of Blake's seizure of Terra in 3058, Bannock-Braigh could no longer fulfill its contract with ComStar and its future now rested with the planet's new masters. The company's fortunes took a turn for the better, depending on who you asked, when WoB leadership took interest in the Ahab's potential. In 3061, Bannock-Braigh Aerospace was pressed into creating two new variants of the Ahab for service among Word forces and the company has been producing those designs ever since.[1]
Jihad[edit]
It is assumed that BBA not only survived but also supported the Jihad until Blakist control of Terra was taken by Devlin Stone. What became of the company in the years following is not known.
