Barb Manson was a member of the Crimson Sabres during the pirate band's campaign on Novo Tressida within the Magistracy of Canopus in the mid-3060s. Following the Sabres' assassination of Duke Tremain Garson along with the deaths of a number of other people the mercenary command known as Pike's Pikemen were hired to protect the planet and the new Duke, Cornel Garson. When the Pikemen fought the decisive battle against the Crimson Sabres that saved the life of Duke Tremain's successor, Cornel Garson, on the 6th of July 3066 Barb was serving as part of Sabre Lance under the command of Hanson Toliver. Seven Crimson Sabre 'Mechs were downed by the combined forces of the Pikemen and the Ducal Guard, and Hanson Toliver was captured in that battle.[1] It is currently unknown if Manson survived the battle.
