LAW-Barcella Beta was a facility on Irece originally controlled by Clan Nova Cat before being taken over by the Draconis Combine.
Overview[edit]
After Clan Nova Cat's flight from the Clan Homeworlds following their Trial of Abjuration, they managed to disassemble a few of their production facilities, including Barcella Beta, and shifted them to the Draconis Combine. It was one of the Cat's larger producers of combat vehicles,[citation needed] and the 'Mech production annex (designated Barcella Alpha) produced unique variants of the Griffin IIC.[1] Reports suggest that the Ishtar was produced at Barcella Beta as well.[citation needed]
During the Jihad, the facility lost about a third of its staff and capital, and was only operating at 80% of its maximum output in 3079.[3]
After the Nova Cat rebellion of the early Dark Age, the Combine seized the plant and it was assigned to Luthien Armor Works, becoming known as LAW-Barcella Beta. Engineers from LAW dismantled the factory to study and reverse engineer its technology, and in early 3145 the Cizin was being produced at LAW's Luthien facility.[2]

Irece[edit]
Originally located on the Barcella, the Barcella Beta complex was moved to Irece during Clan Nova Cat's flight from the Homeworlds.[citation needed]
