Barton Burroughs was the commanding officer of the Dahar Draconis March Militia for much of the early 31st Century.[1]
History[edit]
Leftenant General Burroughs received command of the Dahar DMM after former commander Sir William Dobson was killed in action. While Dobson's Awesome BattleMech was originally slated to be installed at the DMM's headquarters as a memorial, Burroughs instead ordered his technicians to restore it for use as the unit's hereditary command 'Mech. While the Awesome was restored by 3028, the Dahar Militia did not participate in either the Fourth Succession War or War of 3039. When Burroughs retired in 3046 and passed command of the DMM to Brian De Waters, he left a message stating that "Commanders will come and go, but the Awesome they pilot will remain."[1]
