Overview[edit]
In July 3057, the Combine employed Black Thorns mercenary unit launched a raid against a nearly completed Clan Nova Cat factory complex on Courchevel. Unfortunately for the mercenaries, Nova Cat OmniFighters succeeded in crippling their DropShip on approach and forced a scattered combat drop onto the world, with the newly arrived front-line Forty-sixth Nova Cat Cavaliers leading the charge to capture them as the Fourteenth Provisional Garrison Cluster took and repaired their DropShip. While unable to destroy the factory, the battered Black Thorns were able to reclaim their DropShip and escape off-world after their commander Jeremiah Rose defeated the Fourteenth Garrison Cluster's Elemental commander in single combat.
