As part of the two Battalions of the 21st Illician Rangers sent to defend Galtor III under Federated Suns contract during the last years of the Third Succession War, they were on planet when Wolf's Dragoons came to the planet under a Draconis Combine contract to raid Galtor III.
The unit globally fought well and give his best against Wolf's units. He was assigned to Levon Grant's company, and specifically to his own lance, and had the bad luck to find engaged against the Black Widow Company. The company had lost Graham Gilliam's Recon Lance and had to fight hard to get the salvageable BattleMechs from the Widow's Fire Lance.[1]
