History[edit]
The Bloody Suns was formed in 2828[1] when the remaining elements of Belinda's Irregulars and Simpson's Samurai joined together to create the Bloody Suns.[2]
Operation SUN[edit]
In October of 2829, the Bloody Suns landed on Mira which was defended by the 3rd Chesterton Cavalry, expecting to easily capture the world. The commander of the Third Chesterton recognized his situation as untenable and employed chemical weapons against the mercenaries.[3] Duke Hasek, who had personal ties to the Bloody Suns, ordered a nuclear strike on the CCAF command post and landed the Eighth Crucis Lancers who mercilessly destroyed any of the Third Chesterton's survivors.[3]
Operation PUMA[edit]
In 2834, the Bloody Suns and the Thirteenth Syrtis Fusiliers conducted a diversionary landing on Highspire but were stymied by major civil unrest and terrorist attacks supporting the CCAF's effort to resist the Davions. The precarious situation on Tikonov and the Draconis Combine's Operation MOONLIGHT SONATA caused the Fusiliers and Suns to withdraw after three months on-planet.[4]
Operation TIGER[edit]
In 2836, the Bloody Suns and the Fourth Syrtis Fusiliers staged an audacious raid against the prefectural capital of St. Ives, savaging the defending Fourth St. Ives Lancers and Gryff's Hussars before withdrawing.[5]
Ross's Fusiliers[edit]
In 2838, the Bloody Suns joined the Fourth Syrtis Fusiliers as their 3rd battalion, dubbed "Ross's Fusiliers" in honor of their commander, Colonel Maggie Ross, who retired from active duty to marry Duke Damien Hasek.[1] Their last known duty station was on Demeter in 2864, where the Fusiliers were at 25% strength.[6]
