History & Description[edit]
The Bolan Province was founded at an yet-unknown point during the Third Succession War when the Commonwealth moved the provincial capital from Furillo.[1] This region of the Protectorate of Donegal was responsible for much of the Lyran border with the Free Worlds League, a task it shared with Alarion Province and the Isle of Skye. [2]. The provincial borders were redrawn following the Fourth Succession War, with Bolan taking responsibility for virtually the entire length of the Marik border.
Jihad[edit]
The departure of the Isle of Skye from the Commonwealth was a boon to the Bolan Province, as it absorbed the remaining worlds from that province, including Solaris VII and the linchpin of the LCAF, Hesperus II.[3]
Dark Age[edit]
Following the Commonwealth's reversal of fortune in Operation HAMMERFALL and the formation of the Wolf Empire, the Bolan Province was dissolved. Other than Bolan itself and its neighbor Gypsum, the remaining worlds still in Commonwealth control were absorbed by the Donegal Province.[4]
