Bonnie Hunter was a VTOL pilot in the First Federated Suns Armored Cavalry Regiment.[1]

Leftenant Hunter earned her VTOL wings as a civilian operator straight out of high school and her flamboyant personality, when combined with the methodical nature of her partner Leftenant Jude Simmons, made the two one of the most dangerous VTOL duos in the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. "The Gangsters," as they came to be known, soon came to exemplify the spirit of the First FedSuns Armored Cavalry Regiment.[1]
The Gangsters performed extremely well during Operation BULLDOG and the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, even going so far as to down an enemy aerospace fighter during the latter conflict. When the Capellan March launched Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE against the Capellan Confederation, Hunter and Simmons fought against the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry on Halloran V. When the Gangsters' platoon was ambushed by the Sixth CRC, only their heavily-damaged VTOL walked away from the fighting after scoring three kills for themselves. Afterwards, Hunter and Simmons were rewarded with a specialized Armored Cavalry Regiment VTOL to replace their damaged ride.[1]
