Brothers in Arms is a short story by Chris Hartford that was published as introductory fiction for Field Manual: Free Worlds League.
Plot Summary[edit]
During the Zion Rebellion in late 3057, Captain Lynne Parry of the Third Free Worlds Legionnaires is forced to fight against her own brother, Matthew Parry, who sides with the rebels. After a fierce fight, she manages to disable her brothers 'Mech and demands his surrender. When he chooses to ignore her and continues to shoot at her instead, Lynne Parry is forced to kill him in tears.
