Buntari Akihito was the commanding officer of the Twenty-fourth Dieron Regulars as of 3059.[1]

Tai-sa Akihito, serving with the Twenty-fourth Dieron Regulars, was stationed on Herndon in 3059. Akihito previously served as an instructor at the Sun Zhang Academy for five years before taking command of the Twenty-fourth Regulars and, as such, possessed detailed knowledge on how to train MechWarriors. Shortly after the beginning of his tenure as leader of the unit, Akihito instituted a comprehensive daily training regimen for the men under his command.[1]
