Cabrian Pintelo was the commanding officer of the Twenty-third Federation Primary Relief Infantry Brigade during the War of 3039.

History

In 3039, Major General Pintelo was garrisoned on Matar alongside the First Kathil Uhlans and First Kestrel Grenadiers following the Federated Suns' conquest of the world. When the Draconis Combine counterattacked numerous planets, the forces on Matar were left without orders or reinforcements, although it took until September for enemy troops to make planetfall on Matar. During the interim between the start of the counterattack and the invasion of Matar, Pintelo became convinced that the FedSuns forces on-world were more than capable of resisting any hostile attack. Despite Pintelo's beliefs, the arrival of the Eleventh and Twelfth Ghost Regiments on 20 September quickly cost the occupiers much of the planet.

With the First Kestrel Grenadiers besieged and the First Kathil Uhlans cut off behind enemy lines, Pintelo began gathering his men in order to create a provisional brigade of combined-arms regiments. On 14 October, Pintelo lead his brigade in an assault against the Ghosts' primary base in the Tri-Cities of Capricia-Inness-Tellein in order to draw enemy forces away from the Grenadiers. Unfortunately for Pintelo's plan, the Ghosts' commander split off just enough troops to turn the Tri-Cities into a battleground without giving the Grenadiers enough space to evacuate the world. The fighting continued for several more weeks until Matar's spring rains made maneuvers extremely difficult for both sides, allowing Pintelo to withdraw from the Tri-Cities with the First Uhlans' assistance. Pintelo was involved with one more brief fight against the Ghosts' advance elements before the FedSuns soldiers initiated a twenty-five-day evacuation of Matar, leaving the world once more in the hands of the Draconis Combine by 10 December.
