Calvin Michalik was a MechWarrior, who served in the First McCarron's Armored Cavalry mercenary unit, during the War of 3039.[1][2]
History[edit]
In September 3039, Michalik was part of the Capellan Confederation aligned McCarron's Armored Cavalry's raid, on the Federated Suns world of Kathil. After encountering more defenders than expected, the Big MAC shifted the focus of their attack to a number of small objective raids on Federated Suns facilities, which on 8 September included a research lab high in the mountains on the Muran continent. This operation, assigned to a reinforced Lance including Subcommander Michalik, managed to defeat defenders from the Eighth Syrtis Fusiliers and capture prototype equipment being developed at the lab, despite arriving during a heavy storm which featured oversized hailstones.[1]
Following this success, the next day Michalik's Lance was assigned to raid a series of warehouses in a ice bound city elsewhere on the Muran continent that was thought to potentially hold Star League Era Double Heat Sink, which were reported to only be defended by light 'Mechs at most. This intelligence was however flawed, and Michalik's Lance was instead opposed by an Assault Lance, from the Eighth Syrtis Fusiliers.[2]
