Duke Carlton Van Mitre was the noble ruler of the Draconis Combine world Buckminster from at least 3025[1] until his assassination during the War of 3039.[2]
History[edit]
The assassination of Van Mitre was engineered by Loki and Rabid Fox operatives during the War of 3039, with the aim of causing political instability on a key target world of the Lyran Commonwealth and Federated Suns, which was achieved as the Duke's potential successors fought for position after his death.[2]
